GT-15
GT-15 is the largest truss Giant Truss manufactures in aluminium, developed for special applications where extreme loads or conditions require very high strength. It has a 1460 mm × 700 mm section with 100 mm main chords of 8 mm wall thickness, 50 × 3 mm and 60 × 60 × 4 mm braces in high-strength EN AW-6082 T6 aluminium, and weighs 65 kg per metre.
The truss uses a tolerance-free conical connector system (Sg5) with vertical and horizontal pin positions. The catalogue rates GT-15 for a 60 m (200 ft) clear span, and its metric loading chart lists distributed and point-load values from 24 m to 60 m.
